LAKE KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA — A massive alligator slammed into a canoe that was occupied by a married couple, then dragged a helpless woman before going into a death roll last month, according to spokesperson for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The story confirmation was first reported in USA Today.
According to spokesperson Hailee Seely, an 11-foot, 4-inch gator hit the canoe with such force, it sent the couple into the water at the mouth of Tiger Lake. The animal initially bit the woman’s torso, before submerging her.
