LONGWOOD, Fla. – An officer with the Longwood Police Department resigned amid an administrative investigation into his actions when a 17-year-old boy was placed into custody in May, according to a news release.
On May 27, Longwood police responding to a family disturbance concluded that the boy “met criteria for involuntary examination” under the Baker Act, the release said.
