Orlando Man Arrested with Loaded Gun After July 4 Disturbance, Incident Under Internal Affairs Review

ORLANDO, FL – On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the Orlando Police Department confirmed it is reviewing an arrest captured on video and circulating on social media. The arrest occurred after officers responded to a firearm disturbance on July 4 around 6:40 p.m. at 4334 Crossroads Court.

According to police, a witness reported that 22-year-old Zion Ephraim Jessiah Skepple had been seen waving a firearm in front of several individuals. Upon arrival, the responding officer observed Skepple—matching the suspect description—walking away and looking back at the patrol vehicle.

The officer issued multiple verbal commands for Skepple to stop. After Skepple failed to comply, the officer deployed a taser, which was initially ineffective. Skepple fled toward a nearby apartment. A second taser deployment caused him to fall, but he quickly got back up and continued to a doorway…
