OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Realtor.com data shows baby boomers are staying in their homes longer, likely due to costs of assisted living.
Data from the International Council on Active Aging shows that only 14% of people over the age of 75 can afford the cost of in-home care. And even fewer — only 13% — can afford to move into an assisted living facility. Other seniors are just barely affording the homes they’re in.
