Driver’s claims of law enforcement past unravel after crash and failed sobriety tests

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A single-vehicle crash on Monday, July 14th, led to the arrest of a Poinciana man who allegedly impersonated a law enforcement officer and displayed signs of impairment.

Deputies responded to the scene of a crash at approximately 11:23 AM in the area of Midway Road and Lake Marion Creek Road. There, they found 53-year-old Errol Ellis Nusenko sitting in the driver’s seat of a blue Mercedes Benz.

According to Polk County deputies, Nusenko immediately informed deputies that he was a retired homicide lieutenant and former FBI task force officer with the Baltimore, Maryland Police Department…
