A man from Mexico was caught driving on a North Carolina license which expired in 2010.
Victor Manuel Nambo Lopez, 45, of Orlando, was driving a black Honda Odyssey at 5:39 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 301 when a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy noticed the vehicle’s taglights were not functioning.
During a traffic stop, the deputy had difficulty communicating with Nambo Lopez, who does not speak English. The deputy engaged a language line. The native of Mexico showed the deputy a digital photograph of a North Carolina driver’s license. The deputy checked with dispatch which found that the license had expired 15 years ago…
