DAVENPORT, Fla. – It was a high-tech game of hide-and-seek that ended with a familiar “click” of handcuffs for Matthew Lewis-Grant. The 38-year-old, who was out on pre-trial release for drug charges, thought he could evade deputies by simply ignoring a knock at the door, but he forgot to factor in a key piece of evidence: his GPS monitor.

Lewis-Grant was facing serious charges of trafficking in cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

After violating the conditions of his pre-trial release, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at his Old Lake Wilson Road residence in Davenport on Thursday afternoon to serve the warrant…
