By Lynn Jones | R&B fans from across the state hit the road—traveling down I-95 and I-4—to pack the Apopka Amphitheater for the ‘Rhythm & Boots’ Summer Festival. Drawing music lovers from Florida, South Georgia, and North Carolina, the festival united fans from across the Southeast for a night of unforgettable performances.
Despite sweltering 104-degree heat, more than 5,200 attendees soaked in a high-energy lineup that fused R&B, southern soul, country, and hip-hop—creating a diverse and electric atmosphere that appealed to music lovers of all ages.
The sold-out concert featured standout performances by 803Fresh, K. Michelle, Syleena Johnson, D’Vito, Chris Knite, Curt the Countryman, Al Chauncy, and DJ Bird Sanchez and Big Jay Entertainment. Hosting duties were shared by Star 94.5’s JoJo O’Neal, Arielle Jenkins, and special guest host, actor Mike Bend.
Each artist brought their own flavor to the stage, but 803Fresh’s show-stopping set and rising star Curt the Countryman’s dynamic performance earned special ovations from the crowd. The night’s success was fueled by the combined expertise of the event’s promoters and media partners, delivering an experience that exceeded expectations for both fans and artists.
