Winter Haven Woman’s ‘Water Bottle’ Toss At Eagle Lake Boat Ramp Leads To Drug Arrest

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Winter Haven woman is facing several drug-related charges after she allegedly attempted to dispose of a bag containing narcotics by tossing it into a public restroom during an encounter with law enforcement on Monday afternoon.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was dispatched to the Eagle Lake boat ramp at approximately 3:55 p.m. on August 11th in response to a call about a man and a woman behaving suspiciously in a pavilion.

Upon arrival, the deputy found the man in the pavilion and the woman, later identified as 39-year-old Heather Hamm Osborne, standing near the restrooms about 40 feet away. The deputy approached the man and waved for Osborne to join them…
