Osceola County School Board Reaches Tentative $10.3 Million Compensation Agreement With Local Unions

The Osceola County School Board has reached tentative agreements with local unions on compensation packages valued at $10.3 million for the 2025–26 school year, a move that impacts instructional staff, education support professionals, and Teamsters employees across the district.

On August 20, 2025, the School Board and the Osceola County Education Association (OCEA) finalized agreements that include an $8.1 million package for instructional employees and $1.3 million for education staff professionals (ESP). Earlier this month, on August 13, 2025, the Board also reached agreement with Teamsters Local No. 385 on a $900,000 package.

Salary Increases for 2025–26

  • Instructional employees will see performance pay raises based on final evaluation ratings:
  • Highly Effective = $500
  • Grandfathered = $400
  • Effective = $350
  • In addition, all instructional staff will receive a recurring 2% retention supplement based on their 2024–25 minimum base salary.
  • Education Support Professionals (ESP) and Teamsters employees will each receive a 2% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) to their minimum base salaries.

Expanded Benefits Package

The tentative agreements also strengthen employee benefits, including:

  • An increase in the Board’s contribution toward health insurance, now totaling $8,722.60 per employee, with a no-cost option remaining available for individual employees.
  • Innovations to the district’s medical insurance plan to provide new choices and cost savings while ensuring fiscal stability of the Health Benefits Trust Fund.
  • A Flexible Spending Account match of $250 for employees who contribute $750 or more.
  • Continued support for the district’s Center for Employee Health.
