Woman claims to be unaware of $50 in items skip-scanned at Walmart

A Davenport woman was given a notice to appear in court after skip-scanning $50 in items at a self-checkout in Walmart.

A deputy responded to a theft complaint at Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, around 10:45 a.m. Sunday, according to a case report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. An asset protection agent was monitoring 53-year-old Jacqueline McNab in the self-checkout line.

She was seen on security footage failing to scan several items. She instead scanned the same Arizona iced tea 10 times and bagged 12 items, failing to pay for a bag of Goya beans and vegetable oil. She then put a vacuum on the side of the register and started scanning other things, the report said…
