A Lakeland woman and a Davenport man were arrested on drug charges when officers saw smoking devices get thrown from their car window.
Officers observed a white Honda passenger car, occupied by 47-year-old Fidjia Rose Concepcion-Medina and 59-year-old Juvenil Rodrigues-Cardoso, headed north on County Road 468 around 12:40 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.
A check of the tag revealed it was not assigned to any vehicle and seemed to belong to Sollar Autos Group. But the car dealership’s website showed it did not have any white Hondas for sale. Shortly after, the officers initiated a stop on the vehicle at Berckman Street and Rose Avenue, the report said.
They immediately saw a cylindrical object being thrown from the passenger side of the vehicle. As it slowed to a stop in a nearby parking lot, an officer saw a hand come out from the passenger side to throw out another cylindrical object. The vehicle then came to a complete stop, the report said…
