Jonathan Rinderknecht, the Florida man arrested for allegedly starting the deadly Palisades Fire in California, made his initial court appearance in Orlando on Thursday.Rinderknecht, who left Southern California five months ago, had been living with his sister and her family in Florida. Law enforcement responded to the residence twice in the past month. During the first incident, Rinderknecht allegedly threatened to burn down his sister’s home. The second call came from his visiting father, who expressed concern that his son possessed a gun.Rinderknecht was arrested earlier this week and charged with destruction of property by means of fire.The Palisades Fire, which occurred in January, killed 12 people and destroyed more than 6,800 structures. An additional 1,000 structures sustained damage in the blaze.
