Daughter allegedly lashes out at mother when dog eats her cat’s food

A Clermont woman was arrested after allegedly throwing markers and a dry erase board at her mother during an altercation.

A deputy responded to an altercation between 20-year-old Angelie Leamon and her mother at an undisclosed Clermont residence around 2:35 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Both parties gave conflicting accounts of what happened.

The mother advised that the altercation began when their dog ate Leamon’s cat food, leading to a verbal argument. She alleged Leamon threw a cup of dry erase markers and shoved a dry erase board into her face. Leamon then blocked her from leaving the residence and pulled her hand away from the sliding glass door handle. This left a cut on her finger, the report said.

The mother also mentioned prior incidents of aggression, including one in August where Leamon allegedly hit her on the shoulder. This was reported to a crisis intervention hotline but not law enforcement because she he only wanted Leamon to get help or counseling, the report said…
