Florida Fugitive Captured In Mexico After Five-Year Manhunt For Double-Murder

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) announced a major breakthrough in a five-year-old double homicide case with the arrest of a suspect in Mexico.

On October 11, 2025, 29-year-old Liam P. Kelty was apprehended at Cancun International Airport with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals. The arrest follows years of exhaustive investigation into the tragic shooting deaths of Dustin Hunter and Amber Lynn Sutorus.

Hunter and Sutorus were killed near the intersection of Shepard Road and East Colonial Drive on September 3, 2020. For half a decade, OCSO homicide detectives have dedicated themselves to the case, working to secure justice for the victims and their grieving families…
