Brightline forced to stop in Fort Pierce to remove ‘extremely belligerent’ passenger

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A drunk and “extremely belligerent” Orlando man forced a Brightline train to stop in Fort Pierce on Sunday.

Around noon on Sunday, Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) deputies say they responded to the 6500 block of Old Dixie Highway for reports that a Brightline had to stop because of an “extremely belligerent passenger.”

Upon arrival, two employees advised deputies that the suspect, Mark Miller, 57, had been drinking alcohol for an extended period and gotten into a loud argument, was walking around, and was causing a disturbance that was disruptive to passengers…
