World Food Trucks in Kissimmee, Florida, has installed a rooftop solar system to support its operations. The site features more than 80 food trucks offering international cuisines. Owner Nadeem Battla said the project aims to reduce the site’s carbon footprint and support long-term sustainability for vendors and customers. The solar system is projected to save about $19,600 per year in utility costs. This may help lower expenses for the business and its vendors, many of whom are small and minority-owned.
The solar installation is also designed to improve the site’s ability to operate during hurricanes or power outages. This could allow World Food Trucks to continue serving residents and first responders during emergencies…
