ORLANDO, Fla. – There are nearly 340,000 unsolved homicide and manslaughter cases dating from 1965 to 2022, according to Project Cold Case. According to the Florida Cold Case Investigations Unit, Florida represents 6% of the total, with more than 20,000 cases.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement keeps a list of unsolved cases on its website, but it is by no means a complete list.
Some of the cases are well-known in the area:
- Jennifer Kesse, who disappeared in Orlando in 2006
- Tracy Ocasio, who disappeared in Ocoee in 2009
- Trenton Duckett, who disappeared in 2006
- Michelle Parker, who disappeared in 2011

Brevard County
The Cocoa Police Department has reported more than two dozen unsolved cases to FDLE. The cases on the FDLE website go back to at least 1981. Go to the FDLE website and search for Cocoa Police Department cases.
