DAVENPORT, FLORIDA — Two Florida teens were arrested Tuesday night after deputies say they attempted to break into a car in a Davenport neighborhood before trying to flee from law enforcement.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called around 9:15 p.m. to the Atlantica Town Center neighborhood near Old Lake Wilson Road for reports of an attempted vehicle burglary.
When deputies arrived on the scene, the suspects reportedly ran from the area, jumping a nearby fence in an attempt to escape. Authorities quickly deployed the Aviation Unit and a K-9 team, who tracked the suspects to a hiding spot close by.
