Orlando Man Charged with First-Degree Murder Following November Fatal Shooting

The Orlando Police Department (OPD) has reported the arrest of a 49-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last month. William Payne, an Orlando resident, has been charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm following the death of 42-year-old Brian Blackshear, as reported by WFTV.

The incident, which took place on November 23, around 10:10 p.m., resulted in officers responding to reports of gunfire on the 3400 block of Columbia Street. There, authorities found Blackshear with an apparent gunshot wound. Despite attempts at life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
