Orange County allocates $3.06 million to Habitat for Humanity for home preservation and affordable housing

On December 16, 2025, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners voted to allocate $3.06 million from its Affordable Housing Trust Fund to Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County. Of that total, $1.56 million will support the nonprofit’s Home Preservation Program, providing roof replacements for about 80 low-income homeowners. An additional $1.5 million will be used to identify and acquire land for future affordable homeownership developments.
