Man caught with stolen Grady Judd hat after break-in at Winter Haven fire station: police

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (WFLA) — A man was caught with a stolen Sheriff Grady Judd cowboy hat after a series of break-ins over the holidays, including one where officials said he rummaged through a local fire station, taking their clothes and candy.

Security cameras showed the suspected thief, identified as Daniel Alejandro Puga, 22, of Haines City, entering through a door along the northeast side of the Winter Haven fire station’s administrative building around 5 a.m. on Christmas Day, according to police.

Officials said the administrative offices had been closed up on Dec. 23. While inside, Puga took a shower and rummaged through the offices, helping himself to candy that had been set out and putting on a Winter Haven Fire Department Recruit shirt, authorities said.

Members of the fire department said the office where the clothing was located was in “disarray.”…
