A death at Walt Disney World Resort is under investigation after authorities discovered a body Friday night at Disney Springs, according to reports from Inside the Magic and TMZ via law enforcement officials.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to a call around 8:55 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, initially described as a “person down” near East Buena Vista Drive. Moments later, the call was upgraded to a report of a deceased individual at the Orange Garage, one of the main parking structures serving Disney Springs.
According to Inside the Magic, guests returning to their vehicles reported a heavy law-enforcement presence at the scene, with part of the lower level of the garage cordoned off as investigators worked.
