ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — Twenty years ago, on Jan. 24, 2006, Jennifer Kesse disappeared from her home in Orlando, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.

Kesse, who grew up in Tampa Bay, was living in an apartment complex in Orlando and working in finance when she was reported missing. She was 24 at the time. A few days after her disappearance, her car was found abandoned around a mile away from her apartment.

Originally led by Orlando police, FDLE said they took over the investigation in 2022 and have since followed up on old and new leads that could help point them in the right direction.

Kesse has a quarter-sized shamrock tattoo on her left hip, a surgical scar on the inside of her left elbow, and a defined cleft chin, FDLE said.

The department said officers are still actively investigating her disappearance and searching for clues about where she may be. She was officially declared dead by the state of Florida in 2016, but her loved ones haven’t given up hope…
