Florida man sentenced for attempted smuggling of firearms to Ecuador

ORLANDO, Florida — Jack James Molina, a 39-year-old from St. Cloud, has been sentenced to four years and nine months in federal prison for attempting to smuggle goods from the United States.

U.S. District Judge John Antoon II handed down the sentence, which includes the forfeiture of 11 firearms Molina attempted to smuggle, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. Molina pleaded guilty on October 16, 2025.

Court documents reveal that on May 9, 2025, Molina attempted to transport 11 disassembled Glock semi-automatic pistols and 20 firearm magazines on a flight from Orlando to Ecuador.
