2 siblings found dead in Apopka store was ‘domestic murder–suicide,’ police say

APOPKA, Fla. – An incident that left two people dead at Griffin’s General Store in Apopka last week has been ruled a “domestic murder–suicide” between siblings, according to a final update released Monday by the Apopka Police Department.

Police said that they received a call for service shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday at the store located at 262 W. Michael Gladden Blvd.

Investigators said they determined the suspect fatally shot his sister before taking his own life. Evidence collected at the scene, witness statements and forensic findings confirmed the deaths were an isolated domestic violence incident between family members…
