POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Friday evening traffic stop in Waverly took an unexpected turn when a driver told deputies he didn’t need a license to be on the road.
The incident began around 6:00 p.m. on February 13, 2026, when a Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy pulled over a blue Chevy Malibu near the intersection of US 27 and Waverly Road.
