A late-night rollover on northbound State Road 429 near Ocoee-Apopka Road on Thursday left one passenger dead and three others injured, officials said. The single-vehicle crash shut down the northbound lanes for hours and drew a heavy multi-agency emergency response. Apopka police have opened an active investigation into what caused the pickup truck to flip.
The pickup was occupied by a 21-year-old driver and five passengers, ages 41, 24, 23, 42 and 28, according to authorities. Two occupants were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center under trauma alerts, and two others were transported to AdventHealth Apopka.
