WINTER HAVEN, Florida — A 35-year-old man from Haines City was arrested following an incident at AJ Slammers Lounge early Friday morning, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a report of a fight at the lounge around 2:14 a.m. on March 6. Upon arrival, they found no active altercation but noticed Robert Stanley Jean, III, walking away with a bloody nose. Deputies attempted to check on Jean’s well-being, but he was uncooperative, refused to discuss the fight, and appeared heavily intoxicated, the sheriff’s office stated.
Despite deputies’ efforts to persuade him to contact a designated driver, Jean attempted to enter his own vehicle.
