A Florida mother is facing criminal charges after police allege she left her 12-year-old daughter at a bar in Universal CityWalk Orlando and went dancing at a club after the girl wanted to go back to their hotel room.

The woman, identified as Amanda Thorpe, 33, of Lake Mary, Fla., allegedly became “livid” with the child, “displayed the middle finger, said ‘F – – – you,’” and left the Shoreline Bar at Universal’s CityWalk without the child, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office states in an arrest affidavit reviewed by PEOPLE.

Thorpe was arrested on Saturday, March 7, and booked into jail on suspicion of child neglect. She was granted a $2,500 cash bond and released, according to online court records…
