Another retail spot has opened up at Swanson’s Ivanhoe Row in Ivanhoe Village.
Tim’s Wine Market, founded by Tim Varan, has been on the row for more than 30 years and has recently downsized its footprint, opening up 1221 N. Orange Avenue for a new tenant. The original Orange Avenue shop opened in October 1995, making it one of the row’s longest-running businesses.
The longtime wine shop has built a loyal following in Ivanhoe Village with its curated selection of more than 1,300 imported and domestic wines and an old-school focus on service, selection, and value. The shop says its mission has always been to sell wines “made by real people,” and the store has long hosted tastings and workshops that draw customers from across Central Florida. Tim’s also provides the wine selections for the very popular holiday wine walk during Ivanhoe Village’s Jingle Eve celebration each year.
If anything, it’s a reminder that even the places that feel permanent only stay that way when people keep supporting them. Thirty years in Ivanhoe Village doesn’t happen by accident…
