Sheriff asks Davenport residents to keep an eye out for door-kicking teens

DAVENPORT, Fla. (WFLA) — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking Davenport residents to keep an eye out for a marauding group of teenage boys who have been kicking in doors.

The first incident that PCSO is aware of happened on March 14 at around 10 p.m. in the 3400 block of Lilac Way. Residents heard a loud bang and checked their front door to find it cracked.

Just four days later, at around 6 p.m. on March 18, witnesses recorded a group of six teenage boys fleeing Harper Grove Apartments after once again kicking in and cracking a door.

The group jumped a fence and ran across the road to a McDonald’s on Highway 27.
