Beloved donut concept marks Orlando return with ribbon cutting, giveaways and Community Appreciation Day
March 26, 2026 // Franchising.com // ORLANDO, Fla. – Shipley Donuts, founded in 1936 and now the nation’s largest and oldest brand of fresh, handmade daily donuts and kolaches, will host a grand reopening under new ownership and management by Virentes Hospitality for its Orlando shop on Friday, March 27, at 2255 S. Semoran Blvd., near Orlando Executive Airport and Orlando International Airport.
The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the Orlando Chamber of Commerce, followed by a ceremonial donut pyramid-cutting and live music from a steel drum band. Guests attending the event will receive one free donut and one coffee while supplies last, and the first 25 guests in line will win free donuts for a year*.
