Kissimmee Police nab burglary suspect after ‘rapid response’

The Kissimmee Police Department, along with help from an Osceola Sheriff’s policing unit helped in the arrest of an individual following a responded to a report of suspicious activity at a local pharmacy after a citizen called 911 to report activity in the area.

Jean Carlos Hernandez Mejia, 34, was arrested and charged with felony burglary to an unoccupied structure, criminal mischief, petit theft and violation of probation. While his bond was set at $6,000, he remains held in the Osceola County Jail on the probation violation.

Around 10 p.m. Wednesday, KPD officers reported to a burglary call at the East Vine Street pharmacy, which had also been burglarized a week prior, according to the arrest report.
