Downtown Orlando Gets Slurpy: Noodle Shawty Pours Matcha And Serves 4 A.M. Noodles

Noodle Shawty, a new early-morning-to-late-night noodle concept from Brandon King and Galo Tenorio, is set to open May 15 in downtown Orlando at 28 S. Orange Ave, in the former Dapper Duck Bar space. The owners are promising a menu that goes from ceremonial matcha and fresh ube donuts in the morning to fast-casual noodle bowls, stir-fries, and wings for the late-night crowd.

As reported by Orlando Weekly, the shop will open May 15 and plans to fire up a matcha bar at 7 a.m., along with coffee and fresh ube donuts. Come lunchtime and dinner, the operation will flip to fast-casual noodle dishes, including Mongolian beef chow fun, orange chicken chow mein, and beef Hokkien noodles, plus hibachi bowls and wings in garlic, honey-garlic, and pepper flavors.

Late-night hours and ambition

“Our kitchen will be open until 4 a.m. Thursday through Sunday,” King and Tenorio say, and they are already talking about the possibility of going 24 hours once the restaurant finds its footing. The pair plan to keep the place running seven days a week, according to Orlando Weekly.
