KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Ijams River Boardwalk Trail in Knoxville is closed after a tree fell on it Tuesday night, around a month after damage from another fallen tree forced a closure.
“Well, Ijams fam, it’s happened again,” the Ijams Nature Center said. It expects the boardwalk to remain closed for “a while” due to the “significant damage.” Nevertheless, the organization promised to have it open as soon as possible using its “considerable moxie.”

The boardwalk was previously closed in April after another tree fell on it. It reopened a few days later. Now the center asked supporters to send well-wishes and good thoughts. People can also donate.
