Good ol’ fashion horse sense won out Thursday.
The Blount County Planning Commission approved three smaller development plats, heard from a lengthy list of speakers during public input and approved with recommendations a 62 townhome development at the intersection of Morganton Road and William Blount Drive on Thursday during its May meeting at the courthouse in Maryville.
The 10-acre tract located across William Blount Drive from Dotson Memorial Baptist Church is adjacent to The Reserve at Maryville apartments and backs up to the neighborhood on Bellas Wy along Morganton.
