OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) β Strong storms moving across East Tennessee on Friday caused thousands to lose power, with multiple downed trees and damage reported in Oak Ridge.
Anderson and Roane counties were both under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning Friday evening and a city spokesperson said around 400 Oak Ridge Electric customers lost power.

Thousands more lost power on the Cumberland Plateau, with as many as 6,000 customers in Fentress County losing electricity and 4,500 in Roane County.
