The next Blount County Commission now knows it better come prepared for its first meeting when it is seated in September.
With a good number of the new commissioners that will take their seats for the first time in the audience on Thursday, the current board voted to defer some long-reaching decisions from its July workshop session agenda until September where it will greet the first meeting of the new board, that will be at least halfway comprised of new members no matter how the August general elections turn out.
