For more than two decades, Anderson County detective Chris “Lucky” Luethge has built his career around some of law enforcement’s most painful cases: crimes against children. The Clinton native says roughly 99% of his caseload involves children, with most of that work focused on sexual offenses. At any given time, he is juggling about 40 to 50 active cases.
A Knox TN Today profile published Monday detailed Luethge’s work with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, while a Thursday sheriff’s office post highlighted him as the latest “Our Town Hero.” The recognition offers a rare public look at the detective behind investigations involving abuse, trafficking, online exploitation and neglect.
