On Friday, Oct. 9, fresh Maine lobsters are being flown in on Delta Airlines for the second community-wide “Claws for a Cause!” event. The event will be on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 4:30-7 p.m., and meals will include a fresh, steamed one and one-quarter-poundMaine lobster, drawn butter, corn on the cob, coleslaw and a roll.
The event will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Oak Ridge, which is also the event sponsor. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Family Resource Center in Oak Ridge and Grace Point Camp in Roane County.
The meals cost $40 for take-away, or $45 for dine-in under the tent in the church Grove, which will include beverage and dessert. Dinners must be pre-ordered in order to give an accurate count to the Maine lobstermen. Only a small number of extra lobsters will be ordered…
