A Sunday night cold front will usher in drier fall-like weather for the workweek. Chances for rain won’t return until next weekend.

A cold front will move through Sunday night into Monday. This will usher in drier fall-like air. A few showers can’t be ruled out south of I-40 as the front moves in; however, most of us should stray dry. Cloud cover will be slow to clear initially across northern sections. Low temperatures will vary greatly overnight. Most areas north of I-40 will fall in the lower to middle 50s, while areas south of I-40 will only drop into the lower 60s with cloud cover being a bit more stubborn.
Cloud cover will decrease through the day on Monday, and winds will increase out of the northwest. This will give us more of fall-like feel as highs will only top out in the middle to upper 70s for most areas.
The more noticeable change in the airmass will come starting Monday night as the winds relax, which will allow temperatures to tumble into the lower 50s for most by Tuesday morning. Areas along the Cumberland Plateau and Kentucky/Tennessee border will fall into the lower to middle 40s…
