In Tennessee football’s win over Auburn last week, the Vols were without one of their starting defensive backs and dynamic playmakers. Nickelback Qua Moss missed the game with a concussion, which he suffered late in the loss to Texas the week prior. Now, Moss opens Arkansas week completely absent from the SEC Injury Report on Wednesday night.
It is notable that Moss was also absent from the Wednesday and Thursday reports last week, but ended up on the Friday and Saturday reports. This does remain a positive development nonetheless.
As a defender, Moss has commanded the majority of snaps at nickelback. Through four games, he has recorded 16 tackles, two tackles for loss and a pass defended. Behind Moss on the depth chart is Michigan transfer Tevis Metcalf, who relieved Moss after he exited with an injury vs. Texas and started vs. Auburn.
