KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Knoxville Police Department asked the public to avoid an area in North Knoxville while they were on a scene with an armed man Monday afternoon.
KPD said just after 1 p.m. that officers, along with Special Operations Squad personnel and Crisis Negotiators, were on the scene with an armed man in the 4700 block of Royal Prince Way.
A WVLT News reporter on the scene said the man was taken into custody at around 1:45 p.m. KPD later added that he will be charged with aggravated assault…
