KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Department of Transportation issued a notice for travelers who are passing through Knox County on Alcoa Highway, this weekend, urging that traffic will be impacted.
Beginning Sunday, Oct. 25, continuing through Thursday, Oct. 29, there will be nightly lane closures in both directions on Alcoa Highway US 129/State Route 115 between Woodson Drive and Cherokee Trail, and on Cherokee Trail between Old Cherokee Trail/Medical Center Way and the Alcoa Highway Interchange, TDOT said.
The lane closures will take place each night between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. while crews pave and prepare for upcoming traffic shifts. Drivers should expect changing conditions throughout the week…
