Tennessee is coming off a successful Saturday full of visitors. Many top names and new faces were on campus for the Tennessee vs. Alabama basketball game. One of the new players on campus was Courtland Guillory .
Guillory is a fast-rising prospect from the state of Texas. He plays high school ball at Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas. The Texas prospect is a defensive back in the 2025 class. He recently caught up with Volunteer Country following his visit to Tennessee to let everyone know how it went.
“It was a great experience for sure; I got to go to the basketball game, and the energy in the arena was crazy. I could just imagine how a football game would be,” the prospect stated immediately. When asked who he got to talk to, he responded, “I got to talk to Coach [Willie] Martinez in his office. I even met his wife, who had a great personality. I also got to talk to Coach [Josh] Heupel .” Guillory followed that statement by saying, “I watched some films with Coach Martinez. He tested my IQ by asking me a couple of questions during the film. We were also drawing up coverage on the board. I played Coach Heupel in putt putt. Then he took me to his office, where we talked about the city of Knoxville and the fanbase down in Knoxville.”
