KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — All lanes of the Gatlinburg Spur are open again after a rock slide was reported above the Gatlinburg Spur tunnel Saturday, according to Gatlinburg Police and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Just after 9 a.m., GSMNP reported that one of the northbound lanes was closed on the spur because of a rock slide. At 11:36 a.m., the park shared an update that both northbound lanes were open once again.

Gatlinburg Police released that the rockslide happened at the Huskey Grove exit, above the tunnel.
According to the police department, both southbound lanes of the spur remained opened.
Drivers in the area were asked to use caution.

In 2023, at least two rock slides were reported along the Gatlinburg Spur.
