During an update from the Battle Miami 7-on-7 tournament , On3’s SamĀ Spiegelman noted that Grimsley High School quarterback Faizon Brandon will trip to Knoxville, Tennessee, this weekend to see the Vols. This will be Brandon’s fourth trip to Tennessee, and he’s a name that the coaching staff likes a lot.
Brandon has tripped to Duke and North Carolina this month, and Tennessee continues to make him feel like a priority. He attended the Georgia and Texas A&M games in Neyland Stadium this year after earning an offer from Tennessee during a summer cap. The talented rising junior threw for 3,026 yards for a 13-1 team that lost in the semifinals of the state playoffs. Brandon accounted for 45 touchdowns against just three interceptions during his sophomore season.
“It was great; this is my third time being at Tennessee, and every time I go, the coaches make me feel like a priority,” Brandon stated after watching the Vols lose to Georgia. The Vols lost by four touchdowns to Georgia, which many assumed would hurt their chances with recruits.
