KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – A portion of Asheville Highway in East Knoxville was closed Tuesday morning after a dump truck tipped over, spilling dirt across the westbound side. The Knoxville Police Department said Westbound Asheville Highway was closed around 11 a.m. at the ramp to Interstate 40 near Loves Creek. The Tennessee Department of Transportation estimated the road would be cleared by noon, but as of noon pushed that out to 2 p.m.
