Kentucky guard D.J. Wagner is expected to miss a huge Top-10 matchup against Tennessee. The freshman guard is doubtful for Saturday night’s game, according to Matt Jones of KSR .
It would be the second consecutive game that Wagner will miss for the Wildcats. He did not play in Kentucky’s overtime loss against Florida on Wednesday.
Wagner is averaging 12.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game this season. He signed with the Wildcats as a five-star prospect out of Camden, New Jersey. He was the No. 7 overall prospect and No. 1 combo guard in the class of 2023, according to the On3 industry rankings .
Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN. The Wildcats are 1.5-point favorites over the Volunteers.
